Today I want so share with you the first of four John Frieda tutorials that you will see on my blog in the next few weeks. The tutorials feature the fabulous Full Repair range which I have been trying out a couple of the items from and I shall be bringing you a full review of those along with the other few videos over the next couple of weeks.
I thought I would share with you my favourite look first, lately as my hair has been getting longer and the UK weather has been fluctuating as much as it has, I have found myself wearing my hair up more often than not. One thing I love is a top knot, or a bun, I think it can look perfectly polished or super casual, the later is the style I tend to wear mostly. Having shorter hair does have it's limitations when it comes to styling hair up, but this style is super simple and very extension friendly, so I simply pop in my I&K Gold extensions and follow the steps in this video.
As you can see there is four main steps really and they are; 1) Get the items you'll need to create the look, so you'll need a bobble, some bobby bins and a hair doughnut or a sock with it's toes cut off and rolled down into a doughnut shape. 2) Pop the hair into a ponytail in the position that you want your bun to sit. I normally opt for around the crown area for a casual look, but if you're after a more formal do then it looks stunning on the side of the head, just behind the ear. 3) You simply then pop the doughnut over the hair. 4) Then you wrap the hair around and clip it into the position you want it and make sure all of the doughnut or sock is covered, then simply calm any loose or flyaway hairs with your favourite John Frieda hairspray and you're ready to go.
Here is my top knot that I created following this step by step guide.
I love this look, it's so simple to create and is suitable for every occasion, you just have to tweak the way the hair is positioned.
As I said I shall be sharing with you some more of the John Frieda step by step tutorials and of course having a go of them all myself so do keep an eye out for those.
I'd love to hear if you are a top knot or bun lover too, and if you've tried any of the John Frieda Full Repair range, as I think I am totally in love with it already!
Thanks for reading,
Bec x

I absolutely love the John Frieda tutorials, I think it's really good how they get the client/model to help with the styles :)
